In February 2026, four of the UltramapGlobal team, plus one of our new trading partners, ventured to Singapore for an event. In a slightly unusual move for us – because this particular event is completely new to UltramapGlobal – here’s a slightly deeper dive into exactly what happened.
What’s the event?
Subsea Nexus Week is billed as being where the world’s leading subsea industries converge. The Premier Global Platform for Integrated Subsea Innovation in petroleum, power and gas transmission, offshore wind energy, submarine telco networks and undersea defence industries.
Sounds great! The UltramapGlobal team was there on 11th and 12th February 2026.
Why we attended in early 2026.
Subsea Nexus Week is a new event. Ultramapglobal has attended events at dozens of locations around the world for almost two decades. We notice patterns. Growth. Innovation. As well as events that can become a little stale.
This was an opportunity to see something fresh, whilst saying hello to friends and customers, old and new at the same time. This particular event targeted the subsea community, and specifically those working in and around telecoms cables, power cables and (of particular interest to UltramapGlobal at the moment), defence.
Who we met.
We did meet significant thinkers and doers from the telecoms, power and defence sectors. Exactly as planned. And even those from the British High Commission looking to introduce UK companies into the South East Asia Power Market. It was brilliant to bump into old friends too, as – like us – they too wanted to learn about this fresh global networking opportunity.
Event highlights.
There was a fun and interesting ‘Speed Dating’ opportunity for the UltramapGlobal team. A great way to meet people for the first time on Sentosa Island in Singapore.
And we spent a lot of time – stand-sharing in fact – with Mike from Lumetec, UltramapGlobal’s DAS integration partner. It was great explaining its real time use for vessel detection, enhancing UltramapGlobal’s client cable and asset protection even further.

Worthwhile? Yes, definitely. A great new way to spread the evolving UltramapGlobal story amongst old friends and new from around the world.
