Well, here it is. My very last Diary of an UltramapGlobal Report Writer 2024. This period is September to December 2024. That means I’ll have recorded one full year. Thank you for reading.
The last four months of 2024 were busy. Manageable, but busy.
Early in this period, Telstra, a current UltramapGlobal customer, asked us to protect a new cable from the beginning of 2025. The new cable has landings in the USA, Guam, Jakarta and Singapore. My world geography gets ever better!
During this period, I was also involved in evolving what and how we report for two important current UltramapGlobal customers – BBL and EXA. Both reports evolved in very different ways. And we don’t charge for these updates. Because we are committed to our acknowledgement that different customers want to know different things. Bespoke is best.
We welcomed a new customer in September/October 2024 too – Greenlink. I’ll probably talk more about Greenlink as we move through 2025. And a current customer, RTE, is growing. So two new reports for RTE from early 2025.
In September 2024, I was in Singapore at an exhibition. I met some of the clients for whom I create reports. That’s always a pleasure. And I got the chance to catch up with two of the monitoring team from The Philippines who were there too – Axyl and Mary Rose. The monitoring team continues to grow… so there’ll be more new people for me to say hello to in 2025 too.
Well, that’s it. It’s been fun scribbling this little diary throughout 2024. One full year.
