UltramapGlobal’s Co-Director Martin Connelly, and Brand and Marketing Lead, Mychael Owen have been invited to spend a day at Sunderland’s National Space Academy on Monday 16th December 2024.
It’s to explore and explain how UltramapGlobal’s impact around the world relies on technologies that navigate the dual extremities of the world’s deepest oceans, as well as the far reaches of outer space.
UltramapGlobal protects the world’s most important subsea cables, harnessing (amongst many other things) advanced satellite technologies.
Martin and Mychael will deliver four, forty-five minute long talks to over one hundred first-year A-Level and B-Tec 16 and 17 year old students.
Other sessions include a Mars rover workshop hosted by Sunderland University and a satellite and communications talk from an academic at Durham University. In the careers fair alongside there will be stands from UltramapGlobal, Sunderland University, CAA, STEM Learning, NCCE (National Centre for Computing Education), CAD2Code, The National Space Academy and the North East Space Cluster.
