UltramapGlobal Customer Comments. London 2025. An Outside-in View. Vodafone.

Martin and Mychael from UltramapGlobal were at The Submarine Networks EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Exhibition in Islington, London, in February 2025. Submarine Networks EMEA is the UK’s largest annual subsea connectivity event for the global subsea market.

We took the opportunity to chat with three UltramapGlobal customers, looking for useful soundbites about our working relationship – from the outside-in. Here’s what they said (a 30 second read).

Interviewer Mychael, Brand and Marketing Lead, UltramapGlobal. Sam Teasdale, Assistant Operations Director, UltramapGlobal.

Interviewees Frankie Targett, Principal Submarine Cable Engineer, Vodafone Group and Matthew Marchant, Principal Engineer, Submarine Engineering at Vodafone.

What Frankie and Matthew said

“Perhaps the best thing about Vodafone’s working relationship with UltramapGlobal is that when we ask for what we need, we can just trust you to get on with it. It’s a straightforward relationship. We feel protected.

Something we’d like to explore and analyse however, is the way that information moves between UltramapGlobal and Vodafone. Feedback and insights. Not because there’s a problem in the day-to-day. But because we’re not sure if communication is optimal right now. It’d be great to discuss that. So the relationship gets better and better.

In addition, we’d be keen to understand what more we can get out of the data as well. We may just be scraping the surface!”

After the chat in London, Frankie, Sam and UltramapGlobal Co-Founder, Martin have indeed continued those conversations.
